At Idyll Books, we believe the heart of a community bookstore is the writers who live and work right here in the County and beyond.

We are proud to host Local Authors and Local Interest sections dedicated to homegrown talent, local topics and history, independent presses, and self-published gems.

How Our Partnership Works

Because we are a small-scale, curated shop, we handle local titles through a Consignment Partnership. This allows us to feature a diverse range of voices while managing our limited shelf space and startup budget sustainably.

The Split: We use a standard 60/40 consignment model (60% to the author / 40% to the shop).

The Process: To keep things organized, we ask all authors to start by filling out the inquiry form below. We review books based on our current inventory needs and how well they fit the Idyll Books vibe.

The Payouts: We settle accounts with our partners on a Quarterly basis via e-transfer.
